Sources & methodology

• Policies, new business, non-renewals, claims, lawsuits: OIR Monthly Market Intelligence Report (MIR), statewide summary by company and policy type, July 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026: XLSX. Self-reported by insurers and not audited by OIR.
• Rate changes: company-level statements in OIR press releases and Citizens rate notices, extracted automatically. Each row keeps the exact quote. This is not a full filing history; OIR's IRFS filing search uses a CAPTCHA, so we only link to it.
• Citizens takeouts: OIR Take-Out Companies.
• New insurers: OIR New Entities reports (PDF), filtered to P&C insurers and reciprocals.

Data is refreshed weekly by script. Insurer names are matched across sources automatically and can be wrong, so always check the linked source. Per OIR's website disclaimer, the information is made available by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, which assumes no responsibility for errors.
